RSI Mini Course

7. June 2018 @ 9:00 - 17:15

Stephen Morris (Princeton University): “Information Design”

Stephen Morris will give a mini-course on “Information Design” at the economics department in Bonn. This is an area that Stephen Morris and his co-authors have shaped, one of the many areas in economic theory he has signficantly influenced in the last decades.

Stephen Morris is the Alexander Stewart 1886 Professor of Economics at Princeton University. He has made groundbreaking contributions to game theory throughout the last decades. He served as editor of Econometrica from 2007-2011, the leading journal in formal economics, and he is currently the first Vice-President of Econometric Society.

The course is intended primarily for advanced PhD students from the economics departments in Bonn and Cologne. In the morning, Stephen Morris will deliver two lectures on “Information Design.” There will be a joined lunch (by invitation) at 12:30 to continue the discussion and a break. In the afternoon at 13:45 (Juridicum, Institute for Microeconomics, 3rd floor), individual graduate students will have the opportunity to meet and present their own research projects to Stephen Morris and discuss their work with him.

The morning session is open to all advanced credit students.

For the afternoon session starting at 13:45, the capacity is limited. If you are interested to participate, please contact Professor Lauermann (s.lauermann@uni-bonn.de) until May 23, 2018 for registration. You will be informed in case of approval.
