SUMMARY:International Workshop: “International and Comparative Political Economy”
DESCRIPTION:International Workshop: “International and Comparative Political Economy” \nThe Cologne Center for Comparative Politics and the Excellence Cluster ECONtribute (ECONtribute: Markets & Public Policy EXC 2126) are jointly hosting an international workshop on “International and Comparative Political Economy”. The workshop will feature the work of early career researchers working in this area. The workshop will offer four panels on different themes. Individual papers might formulate and address research questions on the micro-\, meso- or macrolevel and use whatever quantitative\, qualitative or mixed-method design is appropriate to answer the question. For each of the four panels\, we will host a keynote lecture by an invited scholar who is an expert in this field: \n1. Inequality and Redistribution (Charlotte Cavaille\, University of Michigan)\n2. The Political Economy of Gender (Frances Rosenbluth\, Yale University)\n3. Governance and Power in the Digital Economy (Anke Hassel\, Hertie School of Governance)\n4. International Political Economy of Trade and Migration (Stefanie Walter\, University of Zurich) \nThe workshop will accommodate about 12 papers and will take place on November 26-27\, 2020 in Cologne. \nTo register\, please send an email to cccp-workshop@uni-koeln.de \nDownload the full programm \nSubmission Details:\nAuthors must be early career researchers (doctoral\, post-doctoral researchers or junior faculty without tenure). Submissions co-authored by junior and senior researchers are also welcomed. The presentation of the paper at the workshop has to be given exclusively by the early career researcher. Interested researchers are invited to submit their paper proposals\, indicating the desired panel and including an abstract of about 500 words\, to cccp-workshop@uni-koeln.de until June 15\, 2020 \nAuthors of accepted papers will be notified by July 13\, 2020. Funds are available to cover accommodation and travel expenses of workshop participants. For co-authored work and regardless of whether the co-authors are also early career researchers or not\, we can only give funding to one researcher.
